Louis A. Zacharilla is Director of Development for the Society of Satellite Professionals International, the world’s largest trade association for satellite professionals, where he serves as strategist and spokesperson for the Society and the satellite industry. He oversees SSPI’s corporate development program, develops new chapters and initiates new events for the SSPI franchise. Mr. Zacharilla created the global Better Satellite World awareness campaign with his colleagues and team in New York.
Mr. Zacharilla has written hundreds of articles and blogs for industry trade and business publications, appears in the media regularly, moderates industry panels and is a co-author of three books, the most recent, Brain Gain.
He also serves as Director of Development for World Teleport Association, an industry trade association for teleport operators, and is a founder of the Intelligent Community Forum, an international think tank that studies the relationship between broadband technologies (including satellite) and economic sustainability in cities and rural communities worldwide.
He holds a Master Degree from the University of Notre Dame (USA) and lives in New York.
