    Description

NASA is planning to migrate its Near Earth Network (NEN) and Space Network (SN) C&N services to commercially provided capabilities over the 2020s and beyond. In working toward this national objective, NASA is engaging with the space communications community to address the challenges to achieving interoperability, including standards, technology, techniques, and overcoming spectrum regulatory barriers. In this session, key NASA executives from the Space Communications and Navigation (SCaN) Program in HEOMD will discuss ongoing efforts to facilitate the development of interoperable, commercially provided C&N services to support near-Earth missions of NASA and select partners.
