Robert Wright is the deputy manager for the Dynetics Space Systems Division. In this role, he provides technical, organizational, business support, and direction across Space Division interests.
Wright serves as the program manager for Dynetics Human Landing System (HLS) contract with NASA. This project will develop an innovative and sustainable lunar landing system to return the first woman and next man to the surface of the Moon. Prior to managing the HLS team, Wright led the Dynetics development team for the Space Launch System’s (SLS) Universal Stage Adapter (USA) prime contract. The USA provides the primary structure transition between the SLS Exploration Upper Stage and the Orion crew module.
Wright has worked the civilian space market for more than
30 years, specializing in launch vehicle design, integration, assembly, and checkout. Prior to joining Dynetics, he was responsible for the Space Shuttle Solid Rocket Booster flight design baseline and the Kennedy Space Center (KSC) ground systems hardware used throughout Shuttle processing.
He earned his bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in Blacksburg, Virginia.
