Frank Slazer retired as tge President and CEO of the Coalition for Deep Space Exploration in January 2023. He brings over forty years of aerospace industry and Washington, D.C. space policy experience to his role.
His most recent position prior to starting at the Coalition was as Vice President, Strategy and Business Development for civil, national security and commercial space programs at Aerojet Rocketdyne. Frank also previously served as Vice President, Space Systems, for the Aerospace Industries Association (AIA), and worked at Northrop Grumman Corporation as a Capture Lead for the Altair Lunar Lander. Slazer has also served in business development leadership roles supporting the International Space Station, the Space Shuttle for Boeing, and the Delta Launch Vehicles with Boeing and United Launch Alliance.
In addition to his work in industry, Slazer has experience working on Capitol Hill, has served on the Space Transportation Committee of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics, where he is a senior member, and as President of the American Astronautical Society, which named him as a Fellow in 2013. His education includes degrees in aerospace engineering, political science, and business administration.
