Mr. Kroener began his NASA career in 1990 as a procurement intern at Goddard Space Flight Center. He went on to serve in several other capacities at Goddard and HQ, including as a senior Contracting Officer and procurement manager at Goddard; Executive Officer and Director of Procurement Audits for the NASA Office of Inspector General; and Senior Analyst with the HQ Office of Program and Institutional Integration.
In November 2014, Mr. Kroener assumed his current role as Director of the NASA Partnership Office. In that capacity, he provides Agency-wide policy & procedural guidance, operational support, advocacy, and training for NASA’s domestic unclassified partnerships function. He also provides advisory and analytical decision support to NASA’s Acquisition Strategy Council. Finally, Mr. Kroener facilitates the formulation and management of NASA’s diverse partnerships portfolio, which includes over 2.000 active domestic, unclassified partnership agreements across all NASA Centers. Such partnerships are instrumental in supporting NASA’s aeronautics, exploration, science, space operations, and space technology missions, as well as other important Agency objectives such as STEM education and public engagement.
Mr. Kroener has a BS in Finance from the University of Baltimore and an MBA from Loyola College in Maryland.
