J. "Scott" Hanson is a senior executive businessman with over 30 years in the aerospace industry. He has served both large and small businesses that have supported NASA including Loral Aerospace, Johnson Engineering, Spacehab, Trajen, Boeing, and Anadarko Industries. He has been part of the prime contractor business leadership for NASA programs such as International Space Station, Commercial Crew Program, Mission Control upgrade, Safety and Mission Assurance, Neutral Buoyancy Lab and Astronaut training facilities, and supply chain, to name a few. Scott is currently serving as CFO of Burgoon Company, a supply chain company serving various government programs.
Prior to the aerospace industry, Scott worked in agriculture and attributes his common sense approach to his "roots" in that industry. Scott has a knack for bringing an entrepreneurial spirit to the teams he joins, "Every venture is an opportunity for growth. If we consistently work on new challenges, we will be prepared to conquer them the next time we face them."
Scott and Donna have been married 44 years and have 2 daughters and their families. He received a BS and MS from Texas A&M University (1978/1979) with honors and later received a MBA from the TAMU Mays School of Business (1986). Scott also became a CPA while working for Deloitte-Touche early in his career.
