Emmy Jewell BSc, MSc (c ) is a professional commercial pilot, researcher, experience analog astronaut and an entrepreneur who believes that safety, crew resource management(CRM), and professionalism should always be at the forefront of every mission. Her professional experiences are found in aviation, astronautics and aerospace sectors She has been involved with analog astronaut training in isolated and extreme environments since 2014 as co-founder of MMAARS (Mars-Moon Astronautics Academy and Research Sciences) and as a pilot flying airplanes since 2018. Emmy has been Crew Commander of multiple analog astronaut missions deployed to various analog training locations including Mojave Desert, Nepal Himalayas and as a professional Pilot-In-Command (PIC) on many flying missions. She has worked with various corporate and commercial partnerships and collaborations, such as, Singularity University, focusing on integration of MMAARS analog astronaut training into their Executive Program. She has worked with researchers at various academic institutions, for example, SETI Institute and hosted marketing events at the Mars and Mojave Festival which is co-sponsored by NASA Ames Research Center, Death Valley National Park, SAM Team at NASA Goddard, and SETI Institute. Her research interests involve the study of human factors in extreme environments, development of analog astronauts training programs inclduing aviation safety and aviation-focused regulatory development based on quantitative analysis. The co-author of multiple publications including a research article "Designing Martian Habitats and Challenges Facing Human Health'' published in 2017 in special issue of the Italian Space Architecture Journal, Le Carre Bleu. Currently, Emmy will start a PhD program in Aviation Management in June 2023. She is the co-founder of AvatarMEDIC Inc, a company focusing on developing frontier technologies for supporting real-time, remote medical relief.
