Keiko recently joined space robotics company GITAI Inc. as Director of Business Development, where she represents GITAI to the broad U.S. Government, industry, and academic communities. Keiko had a distinguished career at NASA, publishing high-impact scientific papers and having key roles in NASA robotic sample return missions, including Stardust, Genesis, OSIRIS-REx, and JAXA's Hayabusa2. Keiko received NASA Exceptional Individual Scientific Achievement Medal for discovery of two new minerals from extraterrestrial rocks. Asteroid 7862 Keikonakamura (1981 EE28) was awarded to Keiko for the outstanding work that revealed the existence of interstellar organic matters in meteorites, furthering understanding of organic in the Solar System.
